Mandy Marshall is the owner & principal teacher of Yoga Balance.
She holds a Bachelor of Education, a Diploma of Yoga Teaching, a Certificate of Exercise Therapy & has undertaken many further studies in functional anatomy, bio-mechanics & applied physiology.
Mandy is dedicated to making the benefits of yoga accessible to our mainstream lifestyles
& firmly believes in the demystification of yoga, embracing it’s continued adaptation to modern needs.
Mandy’s classes aim to improve functional mobility, strength & general well-being.
They are laid-back and friendly, with emphasis on improving mobility, stretching, strengthening & relaxation & breathing techniques.
She has been teaching for nearly 15 years in various settings including, yoga studios, community centres and gyms, now teaches exclusively at Yoga Balance.
Jen Quested is a Yoga Therapist who uses yoga postures, breathing exercises, meditation, and guided imagery to improve mental and physical health both during class and one-on-one. She has three yoga teaching accreditations –Advanced Diploma of Yoga and Masters of Yoga both through the Australian Yoga Academy and is qualified in Sivananda Yoga.
Jen is a Level 2 member of Yoga Australia and the Australian Fellowship of Yoga Teachers and is up to date with continuing professional development. She regularly attends courses, workshops and seminars to keep her teaching fresh and current.
She has a keen interest in yoga to suit the seasons, regulating chi
& using movement to balance meridian lines in order to harmonize body, emotions and soul.
Jen teaches mild flow classes & her classes always contain options suitable for beginners as well as more advanced students, paying attention to the individual needs of each student’s potential as well as their limitations, injuries or pain. She has a particular interest in assisting students undergoing health challenges.
Jen’s gentle, friendly, and compassionate approach, and her life experiences make her classes at Yoga Balance accessible for everyone.
Laura Dixon has foundations in Raja Yoga & Yin, however her passions & qualifications
include meditation, prenatal, postnatal & restorative yoga. Her classes provide
a safe, warm & inviting space for participants to practice yoga, where the whole person, including the well-being of body, mind & spirit, is welcomed and valued.
She encourages participants to seek an intuitive response from within, using their body, movement, stillness & breath to garner the multiple benefits of yoga.
A meditation practice included in all classes.
Sue Turner began her Yoga journey over 35 years ago, attending classes with her mum and sisters. She qualified as a Hatha Yoga Teacher 12 years ago and has also studied Core Yoga, Pre-natal Yoga and meditation.
Sue is passionate about bringing the benefits of yoga to her students.
Giving them the opportunity to slow down and connect the mind, body and the breath. Her classes encourage students to flow through their practice with self-care, nourishing and nurturing your body and soul. Sue’s calm and quiet approach to yoga classes provides a healing, peaceful escape from the busyness of life.
At Yoga Balance emphasis is placed on benefit through stress relief, personal awareness and gaining skills to manage the demands of everyday life.
The teachers at Yoga Balance seek to facilitate yoga in a manner that is widely accessible for the great variety of people who attend our classes.
Students are encouraged to listen to their bodies and develop their own balance between the individual demands of their lives and the techniques and tools learnt in class.
And in this manner find their own place and balance between
mind, body and spirit.

At Yoga Balance all of our teachers have extensive yoga teaching experience in a multitude of areas including, a variety of yoga styles, pre & post natal classes, yoga therapy, mum's & bubs, seniors, yoga for special needs & children.
They have taught classes in numerous settings such as gyms, community centres, corporate & private classes, schools & community groups.
In addition, all of our teachers have had varied careers and occupations outside yoga and bring and enormous wealth of life experience to their teaching.
